Netscape Communicator 4.x E-mail Setup and Configuration
Here are the basic steps to get e-mail set up properly with Netscape Communicator 4.5 (and later):
- In Navigator, click the Edit then Preferences...
- Click on the Mail & Newsgroups branch on the tree, then click Mail Servers.
- Click the Add... button in the Incoming Mail Servers section (if the POP3 server is blank - use the Edit button otherwise).
- In the Server Name field, enter mail.mondenet.com. Set the server type to POP3. For the User Name, enter your user name (the first part of your e-mail address. You can also click Remember Password to bypass the authentication dialog when checking your mail. Then click OK.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server section, enter the SMTP server. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter mail.mondenet.com. In the Outgoing mail server user name field, enter your user name (the first part of your e-mail address).
- Click Identity under categories to set-up your name and e-mail address.
- Enter your name in the Your Name field, and then your e-mail address in the
Email address field. Then click the OK button.
- Congratulations, you have now set up your e-mail to work with Netscape Communicator 4.5!
